The Simplest Trick in The Book

September 29th, 2008

Does your dog know how to kiss?

of course.

Does your dog know how to kiss on command?

If not, it’s very easy to teach.  Every time your dog licks your cheek, say loudly and clearly “give me a kiss”

or simply “KISS!”

If your dogs not a licker, dab some peanut butter on your cheek and when he licks it off, repeat the magic words.

This trick is great for pictures, not to mention mistletoe.

Uh, as much as I love my dogs, I have a thing about not wanting them to lick me on the face. Am I just weird?

  2. K9 Amiga says:

    not at all
    some dogs are not lickers
and some people are not err lickeys…

I love dogs but I do not like them to lick me. I do not allow my dogs to lick me except maybe very briefly lick my arm. Maybe?? I know how you feel Jan. It’s not weird. I bet there are more people like us that may be afraid to say so.
It has nothing to do with the love and care of my dogs. I think we have a healthy dog-human relationship.

My dog knows the command, “Kisses!” And he loves to give kisses. Ha. I think it’s cute every now and then, but it is gross. I don’t let my dog lick my mouth, just my cheek. Not that that is much better.

Morph knows how to kiss on command, he loves a good kiss haha
