I am glad to see your efforts to support the needs of animals impacted by Hurricane Ike. I hope you will consider helping some of the many small animal rescue/shelter groups that are in need of financial and other support to continue their efforts especially in Louisiana. Though clearly coastal areas of Texas took major hits by Hurricane Ike, Louisiana coastal areas also had severe damage from Ike as well as cumulative damage from both Ike and Hurricane Gustav that hit a week earlier. I have put together a blog to focus on these small groups since not only has Texas received lots of attention, the same is true of the larger animal rescue groups. Please note that I am not associated with any of these groups and I am not involved in the the donation process (I don't even put links to paypal sites as people should never go through a third party to make contributions). Please read about the animal rescue/shelter groups that are asking for help at http://hurricaneikeanimalrescues.blogspot.com/
