I’d like to eat with the human lady and give her the same orders. Cute dog though.

i can’t imagine how long it took her to train all those tricks. Mine would flip me the bird if I asked them to count not paw at the table.. lol

This is an old trick, but this lady does it better than anyone else I’ve seen before. The dog is put up on the table so that it knows that it’s time to do the “counting trick”. Look how closely he watches the owner’s face. She’s giving him subtle clues telling him when to start “counting” with his foot, and another one to tell him to stop.

A more common variation of this trick is to teach the dog to bark or tap his foot a set number of times based on hearing certain phrases from his owner. (They have trouble doing this with numbers past five or six usually.) So, if someone asks the dog a math problem, the owner would say something like, “(Dog), what’s the answer?” or “How many is that, (Dog)?” Each different phrase tells the dog to “count” a specific number of times. The owner always does the math, the dog just responds to the hidden command.

Having said all that though, both dog and owner are -very- talented! I’ve never seen this done so well before. I couldn’t spot the “trigger” the owner was using, and I was really, really looking for it.
